A sweet little smile on her face ~ UBC 16

A sweet little smile on her face
Her sight filled my life with joy
A cute little angel has arrived
To make my home heavenly.

A sweet little smile on her face
There she lay on the bed
With her tiny eyes closed tight
Avoiding the bright light all around.

A sweet little smile on her face
A twitch on her tiny brow
At the sound of something dropped
Or at somebody’s sneeze.

A sweet little smile on her face
Gratifying my motherhood
As she gives the sweetest of smiles
With a mouthful of milk while at her feed.

A sweet little smile on her face
As she reaches out for her favorite toy
The amusement and expression on her face
As her tongue tastes something new.

A sweet little smile on her face
Those tiny little steps she takes
Turning into brisk runs
Her joy at discovering all that she can do.

A sweet little smile on her face
As she waves out a gleeful goodbye
The day I leave her in a daycare
And tearfully go to my workplace.

A sweet little smile on her face
When she lists items lost in school
Moving on to college from school
My little one has grown so big.

A sweet little smile on her face
As she walks away with her mate
Leaving my nest and heart painfully empty
O Lord, protect her so that it may never fade                                                                                                                                                                  A sweet little smile on her face!

  1. Cuteness of baby doll as narrated by a mother. Even though the connection through umbilical chord is cut the flow love still remains. Good n I liked it
