First born

103_0151[1]Open the first photo album you can find — real or virtual, your call — and stop at the first picture of yourself you see there . Tell us the story of that photo……this was the task in today’s @postaday prompt, Snapshot Stories.

Flipping through my album I chanced upon this picture of my mother holding me when I was perhaps just a few months old. The thought that my parents had clicked and preserved this photograph, which has now completed half a century, is indeed heartening. My father was a photography freak as the children of today would put it.

My mother’s face reflects the joy she had on holding her first born. Today I very well understand her emotions after being a mother myself, which I did not have when I saw this picture during my childhood.

  1. I hv seen another photo – the little gal in this photo is the mother in it :). Passage of time but emotions remain same..

  2. See the glitter in the mom’s face. The baby’s sweet smile is reflected. The chemistry between mom n child transpire through the umbilical chord. First baby is treasure to both parents. Good one
